Our Non-Negotiable Privacy Promise: Zero Calculation Telemetry
When you use our circle calculators, your numbers never leave your browser. Every dimension you enter — radius, diameter, circumference, sector angle, or pipe thickness — is processed strictly on your local device via client-side JavaScript. We do not transmit, log, record, or sell any of your computational inputs or outputs.
1. Client-Side Technical Architecture
Area of Circle Calculator is built using modern Static Site Generation (SSG). This means that all interactive geometry components, formula solvers, and SVG graphics run entirely within your local browser runtime (e.g. Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge).
When you adjust a slider, enter a numeric measurement, or toggle units (e.g., from centimeters to inches), the computations are performed locally in your machine’s memory via native client-side JavaScript. There is no remote Application Programming Interface (API) receiving your mathematical figures.
2. Information We Never Collect
In accordance with our privacy-by-design engineering principles, we explicitly do not collect, capture, store, or profile:
Radii, diameters, circumferences, pipe schedules, or area inputs.
No credit card numbers, billing addresses, or bank accounts (the tool is 100% free).
We do not request GPS, sensor coordinates, or precise location telemetry.
No hardware serials, device fingerprinting, or biometric identification.
3. Information We May Collect Automatically
Like virtually all web applications hosted on global cloud infrastructure (such as Vercel and global Content Delivery Networks), our hosting servers automatically record standard, temporary HTTP server access logs. This technical telemetry may include:
- Internet Protocol (IP) Address: Used strictly for geographic edge routing, regional language fallback, and automated mitigation of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) threats.
- Browser & Operating System: Browser type, engine version, and screen resolution to diagnose UI rendering compatibility.
- Referring URLs & Access Timestamps: The web page that directed you to our website and the precise time of the page load.
Legal Basis under GDPR: Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for ensuring operational security, network integrity, and performance optimization.
4. Direct Contact & Support Inquiries
If you voluntarily reach out to us via electronic mail or submit an inquiry through our Contact Form, we receive the information you choose to provide (typically your name, email address, and the specific contents of your correspondence).
Strict Purpose Limitation: We use your contact information exclusively to answer your question, investigate a reported mathematical discrepancy, or process your feedback. We do not sell your email address to marketing list brokers or enroll you in unsolicited promotional newsletters.

8. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & Classroom Safety)
Area of Circle Calculator is widely used by elementary, middle school, high school, and university students for geometry coursework. We take children’s online privacy with paramount seriousness.
In full accordance with the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and European child protection regulations, we do not require accounts, logins, or personal details to use our calculators. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union).
9. Technical Data Security & Encryption
We employ enterprise-standard security controls to safeguard data transit and site integrity:

If you send us support correspondence, emails are retained for up to 12 months to maintain customer service context, after which they are securely archived or deleted.
